Now, after watching the documentary by Martin Scorsese "Living in the Material World", I have found a new title for my Blog, because I would like to pay tribute to George Harrison, he is actually an inspirational figure for me.
"All Things Must Pass" is a triple album by George Harrison, recorded and released in 1970, the first solo work from him since the break-up of The Beatles.
Below, you can listen to "Beware of Darkness" a very lyrical and dramatic ballad, I really like it.
It is the first tune side 3 of this album, enjoy it!
"Beware of Darkness".
Watch out now, take care
Beware of falling swingers
Dropping all around you
The pain that often mingles
In your fingertips
Beware of darkness
Watch out now, take care
Beware of the thoughts that linger
Winding up inside your head
The hopelessness around you
In the dead of night
Beware of sadness
It can hit you
It can hurt you
Make you sore and what is more
That is not what you are here for
Watch out now, take care
Beware of soft shoe shufflers
Dancing down the sidewalks
As each unconscious sufferer
Wanders aimlessly
Beware of maya
Watch out now, take care
Beware of greedy leaders
They take you where you should not go
While weeping atlas cedars
They just want to grow, grow and grow
Beware of darkness (beware of darkness)
Beware of falling swingers
Dropping all around you
The pain that often mingles
In your fingertips
Beware of darkness
Watch out now, take care
Beware of the thoughts that linger
Winding up inside your head
The hopelessness around you
In the dead of night
Beware of sadness
It can hit you
It can hurt you
Make you sore and what is more
That is not what you are here for
Watch out now, take care
Beware of soft shoe shufflers
Dancing down the sidewalks
As each unconscious sufferer
Wanders aimlessly
Beware of maya
Watch out now, take care
Beware of greedy leaders
They take you where you should not go
While weeping atlas cedars
They just want to grow, grow and grow
Beware of darkness (beware of darkness)
I'm looking forward to the passing of April and the good poetry streaming throughout.

ReplyDeleteThank you Juan for stopping by my blog and commenting. You have a very nice blog here.
ReplyDeleteI love George Harrison and this song. He was another person who had a huge influence on my life. I have so many memories of listening to the Beatles and especially the bangladesh album of George's. It was both enjoyable and sad for me to watch the documentary about George. It felt almost as if my big brother had passed on.
